Macro Diving on Vancouver Island
When planning the next dive adventure, people tend to think of the “ big ticket” items on their bucket lists, like GPOs, Sea lions, kelp forests etc. Admittedly we have alot to discover in our waters, but if you stay long enough you will find that not only are the bucket list pelagic’s here, but Vancouver Island is a macro-lovers dream too. Those searching for diverse macro diving often think of tropical places like Indonesia. Our cold waters are arguably just as rich, except our “small” critters are generally on the larger side of the species spectrum due to our cold, nutrient rich...

BARE Sentry Drysuit Review by Ambassador Maxwel Hohn
Since 2017, I've been diving in a Sentry suit and I can easily say the best drysuits I've ever owned are from the BARE Sentry series. It's built for the demanding conditions of cold-water environments, but also gives flexibility for control and movement. Many suits I've used in the past had thick neoprene materials, which are great for thermal protection and abrasions, but lacked any flexibility. I would often have flashbacks to being a child that was stuffed into a thick snowsuit and unable to bend my arms. However, the BARE Sentry (Men’s)/ Guardian (Women’s) suits are a game changer....
