As we approach the one-year anniversary of the COVID pandemic in BC, many of us are wondering where the year went?! Although global and local events have been cast into gloom and doom, it can be helpful to reflect on some of the silver linings and unexpected outcomes of the change we have seen.

Many travel and vacation plans have been put on hold so now is a perfect opportunity for British Columbians to explore their beautiful backyard that is often taken for granted when they have the world at their fingertips. Many have taken this time to discover unexpected passions for cold water diving in that back yard that they have always meant to explore, but just never seemed to get around to.
The waters around Vancouver Island are world renowned for diving, and yet you will meet many divers here that have yet to explore our local ocean. If you fall into this category, this is your sign! We offer a variety of eLearning courses from our 5 Star PADI Dive Centre, that will equip you with the knowledge to get out and explore safely. Who knows you might even discover a new career!
Don’t have a dive buddy? No problem! Join our Pacific Pro Dive Adventure Club on Facebook and get out to learn some of our local dive sites with our experienced and friendly dive community. All ages and experience levels are welcome.
Diving local also supports small businesses and tourism on Vancouver Island, while reducing our overall ecological footprint by travelling and working locally. Grabbing a meal or a hot drink post dive will complete the experience and give you the opportunity to swoon over all the amazing things you and your buddies encountered on the dive.
